Matt Hayden BSc (Hons), MCSP

Matt graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Brighton in 2003. Initially specialising in neurology, he has worked in the NHS in the Community Neuro Rehab Team in Worthing since 2009.  In 2015 Matt became the Clinical Lead for physiotherapy in the team.  He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (csp.org) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (acpivr.com).  Matt is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), registration number PH65027.

After first training in vestibular rehabilitation in 2011 Matt has used and developed these skills both within his neuro rehab role and privately.  He is a member of Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR) and attends the ACPIVR conference annually.

Matt has taught vestibular rehabilitation to physiotherapists from across Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust in his NHS role.

In 2023 Matt successfully completed Vestibular Rehabilitation- A Competency Based Course at Kings College London, with extensive teaching from world renowned researchers in vestibular rehabilitation Professor Richard Clendaniel of Duke University, North Carolina USA, Professor Michael Schubert of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA, Dr Dara Meldrum of Trinity College Dublin and Dr David Herdman of Kings College, London.  This was an intensive 6-day course focusing on applying the latest research evidence to the practice of vestibular and balance rehabilitation.
